The American Society for Enhanced Recovery and Perioperative Medicine (ASER PM) was founded in 2014. It is a nonprofit organization with an international membership, and is dedicated to promoting the practice of optimizing patient preparation and recovery through education and research.
An individual currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution of higher education or a physician undergoing full-time training in an approved residency or fellowship program.
Open to any physician, certified registered nurse anesthetists, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, physician assistants, pharmacist, physical therapist, allied health worker and hospital administrator who is interested in surgical recovery. Any other individual with an advanced degree (MS, PhD or equivalent), who is affiliated with an academic department and is interested in surgical recover, is also eligible for Active membership. Only Active members of the Society shall be permitted to vote, hold office, and serve on the Board of Directors.
Open any individual, company or corporation rendering valuable service to the Society as approved by the Board of Directors. A Benefactor shall not be permitted to vote, hold office, or serve on the Board of Directors.
Allows for 10 memberships of any staff involved with patient recovery (physicians, nurses, CRNAs, pharmacists, and all physician extenders). To apply for hospital membership, please contact [email protected].
