Congress Program

Welcome! Program information will be posted here as it becomes available.

Join us for a pre-congress workshop day on September 19th. Workshops will feature topics such as Professional Development and Wellness, Point of Care Ultrasonography (POCUS), and Ultrasound-guided Regional Analgesia (USGRA).

The congress will feature a two-day program and include an exciting multidisciplinary interactive program, discussing key principles and the latest advances in enhanced recovery and perioperative medicine. Talks will specifically explain ways to implement these new ideas in your hospital to improve outcomes.

Note that any aspect of this program is subject to change and this version of the program should not be considered final including presentation timings and poster numbers.

CORPORATE SYMPOSIUM
CORPORATE BREAKFAST SYMPOSIUM (NON-CME):OPTIMIZING OXYGEN DELIVERY: WHY BLOOD PRESSURE ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH
CPB Ballroom

Sponsored By: Masimo

Perioperative management of high-risk surgical patients is a complex and complicated process. Hemodynamic instability can inflict vital organ hypoperfusion and lead to serious consequences that compromise patient safety, mainly due to cellular oxygen debt. In this symposium, we will explore advanced monitoring tools available to help clinicians ensure optimal tissue perfusion.

Learning Objectives:
  • Discuss the holistic approach of multimodal, individualized monitoring that can help to avoid perioperative oxygen debt in high-risk surgical patients

  • Explore options for assessing fluid responsiveness and cardiac output optimization

  • Learn how Masimo’s noninvasive SpHb® total hemoglobin and LiDCO® hemodynamic monitoring can support effective blood management and optimize oxygen delivery to vital organs
Masimo is a global medical technology company that develops and produces industry-leading monitoring technologies.
