Johnson, MD, MS, FASA Professor and Vice Chair for Research Carter M Ballinger Presidential Chair of Anesthesiology Adjunct Faculty, Department of Biomedical Engineering Director, Center for Interprofessional Simulation Based Experiential Learning University of Utah Health In the OR and ICU, maintaining an appropriate depth of sedation is key to preventing anesthesia-related events and enabling faster recovery. Brain function monitoring is designed to help clinicians gain a clearer picture of the brain under anesthesia, which can be beneficial in any situation where sedation is needed. This lunch symposium will illustrate how SedLine pEEG monitoring is used to personalize an anesthetic for a variety of patients. |
